Truths about your game…
- You have what it takes to have one of the best short games in the world!
- If you possess the skill to keep your body balanced in normal, everyday, activities like walking or tossing a ball then you can learn a great short game.
- If you practice this move until you’re confident you will never forget it you can keep this amazing “touch” for the rest of your life!
- If you can hit at least 6 greens in regulation per round, you have the ability to shoot 78 or better every time you go out!
- If your short game is in the shape it needs to be to truly enjoy your rounds of golf then you should be getting up and down 50% of the time.
- So if you hit 6 greens in regulation and two put par, then you only have to get up and down on half the other greens you missed. It really is as simple as it sounds once you have a sound repeatable short swing.
- You don’t putt as bad as you think you do!
- Studies have shown that the world’s best putters (guys on the PGA tour) make only about half of their putts from six feet away. However the same study show’s that on perfect synthetic surfaces those same players would make 90% of putts from six feet. That’s telling us that all the green imperfections like spike marks, ball marks, growth irregularities, and wind are causing the other 40% of misses. You really do have a reason to blame the greens!
- The second thing this tells us is that while putting is very important, pitching and chipping the ball closer, much closer, will have an immediate impact on your score. After all you already are statistically a pro-caliber putter from 3 feet. Statistics show that both the average golfer (20 handicap or better) and PGA tour pro make about the same percentage of putts from 3 feet at 99%.
- That 99% of 3 footers made drops remarkably fast with every foot of distance you add away from the hole. The average golfer only makes around 30% of puts from six feet! That’s a huge difference and that difference definitely shows up in the scores you are currently shooting
EVERYONE gets it wrong!
Everyone learns, at first, to swing the golf club incorrectly. Whenever a person is handed a golf club to swing for the first time they immediately over use the upper body by trying to violently beat or lift the ball off the ground an up into the air. This is not only dangerous to your back, muscles, and ego, it is totally incorrect. When you see the pros smooth rhythmic swings that produce immense power there is a LEARNED technique to this. It is impossible to see with the naked eye and only a few have stumbled upon it by shear luck. Even some of the greatest golfers in the world have no idea what they’re doing to be great; they’ve just figured it out. The Central Arkansas Golf Academy golf education system can show you EXACTLY how it works and show you how to easily make the move permanent. |
